It was the end of a long 2011 weddings season and we were just sitting down to grab a morning coffee when the phone rang, it was an Alberta number, so I was interested to see what this was going to be about. On the other end was a super excited and very sweet person named Delina. After talking with her for awhile we learned quite a bit, she was getting married to her High school sweet heart Dennis who was currently living in Vancouver. The plan was to have a wedding in Vancouver at the Celebration Pavillion then a week later have the reception in their home town of Calgary, Alberta. She really wanted us to make her a video to play in Calgary so everyone who could not attend the Vancouver Wedding could see what happened. We jumped at the opportunity to tell such a unique story.

The wedding day was filled with energy and emotion, Delina spoiled Dennis with gifts and an amazing slide show. Not to be out done, Dennis got Delina a neckless that matched her engagement ring. Tears flowed as cards were read and vows were spoken, needless to say we had a lot to work before we headed to calgary for the reception. Just before we arrived Delina mentioned that they were going to shoot some more photos at the Vincent Massey junior high where they met and fell in love. We could not resist yet another fantastic opportunity to tell such a unique story. The reception was held at Alloy Restaurant where Dennis and Delina were surrounded by their family and friends.

We had such a great experience working with Dennis and Delina, and we are very thankful that we got to play a small part in the wedding of two high school sweet hearts. Lastly we want to send a special thank you to Will Pursell photography, both WIll and Lauren are always so much fun and we can’t wait to work with them again!

Spencer and Alessandra’s wedding day was filled with tears, laughs and….look alike’s. When we first arrived at Spencer’s house for the getting ready portion of the day we did our best not to be confused. Mainly because Spencer has an identical twin, Rob. But the challenge was pushed even further as they told us they would be wearing the same suit. Needless to say it was a lot of fun and both of them are such characters.

Alessandra and Spencer have to be two of the nicest people we have had the privilege to get to know. They always were checking in to see how we were doing or asking us if we needed anything. This characteristic really showed on their wedding day not only for one another but for their friends and family as well.

The reception took place at the Italian Cultural Center and it was a blast. The dance floor broke out with some pretty amazing dance moves and we had a lot of fun filming it as you will see in this video.

This past year we had the pleasure of working with some of the most amazing wedding vendors in the industry at the Perfect Wedding Magazine – “Wedding Industry mashup”. Hello Everyone! We are excited to share with you are latest Same Day Edit which we filmed this past Saturday at the Celebration Pavillion and UBC Boathouse. Shaady and Nathalie are such a fun couple to be around and we knew we had lots to look forward to on their wedding day.

Shaady and Nathalie explained to us that their wedding is not only about families being joined together, but also the uniting of two cultures. They told us that they want to honour this by making a special and meaningful celebration for their families and friends by incorporating wedding traditions from each of their cultures. That being Filipino and Ismaili traditions.

With all the traditions in place, we were even more excited to hear that Shaady had been practicing a surprise Hip Hop dance routine for Nathalie. She was completely surprised and you can see this by her reaction in the video. But the surprises did not end there as Shaady surprised her later in the night with a Boyz II Men rendition which was so well done.

Finally it was a lot of fun getting to work with Kate and her team from Fairy God Mother Weddings who did an amazing job at planning this event. We also got to work with Amber Hughes again who is one talented photographer.

We are very excited to share with you our latest Highlight Video. It is among the most EPIC weddings we have ever been a part of and are so happy that we get to share it with you.

Sikh weddings are filled with so much tradition. In fact, these weddings can be a Cinematographers dream as there is so many stories behind each event that bring so much meaning to the culture. Not only that, but the vibrant colours and energy fill the lens to create some of the most beautiful images in motion. Our goal for this shoot was to really bring the viewer into the story and capture the unique details, emotion and energy that this wedding portrayed. Of course, as the days went on the anticipation kept building as we came closer and closer to the Doli Ceremony. Not only does this become an emotional moment for friends and family but having been a part of the wedding and getting to know Kirunn and Gagan, it really became an emotional moment for us as well.

This wedding was filmed over four days and the ceremony took place at the Gurdwara Sahib Kalgidhar Darbar. After the third day we edited together this highlight video to create a Next Day Edit to play at Kirunn and Gagan’s reception at the Royal King Palace in Surrey. We would like to thank Kirunn and Gagan for inviting us to be a part of their wedding. We would also like to thank Harprit from Always and Forever Weddings for all her help. This is a wedding we will never forget!

Danielle and Adrian are such a fun couple and their wedding day really matched their personalities perfectly. Many of the decorations were put together by themselves and it made for such a unique venue as Stanley Park Rowing Club was transformed into one amazing Ceremony and party!

The day started off at the Fairmont Pacific Rim, where Danielle got ready and just down the street at the Fairmont Waterfront Adrian and his groomsmen put on their suspenders. It was a funny surprise when Adrian opened up his card only to be serenaded by Taylor Swift. Shortly after, Adrian walked over to the Fairmont Pacific Rim to see Danielle for the first time. There was so much anticipation and built up emotions as Adrian stood in front of the window waiting for her to come out for the first look.

The reception was filled with some fantastic speeches, tears and BACK FLIPS! We could not stop filming the dance floor as we had no idea what crazy dance move was coming next. Of course, we all were able to re-engergize with the pizza buffet later that night.

Hello Everyone! We are excited to share with you our latest video which is a Next Day Edit. We played this Highlight Video of Sean and Michelle’s wedding last night at the Grand Ballroom in Richmond. It was a lot of fun.

We first met with Sean and Michelle last year to discuss their wedding plans. They told us they had planned to do a fusion type wedding as they want to implement some family traditions into their wedding while at the same time have a western style wedding. They chose a beautiful location for their Ceremony at the UBC Boathouse and it was the perfect day to have it with the sun shining bright in the sky.

Michelle mentioned to us that she really enjoyed some of our past videos in which the couples exchange cards. Sean wrote a card to Michelle and instantly she started getting emotional as you will see in this video.

Finally, we had a blast working with Chris and Gina from Butter Studios. This was our first time working with them and we really hope it is not our last.

When we first met Ron and Stef they told us how much fun and excitement there would be on their wedding day and they did not disappoint. Right from the start the laughter, energy and emotion of the day was infectious! The day began on quite an emotional note as Ron received a very special gift from Stef, a stunning Watch that he had his eye on for years. Even though they agreed not to exchange gifts, Stef really wanted Ron to have something to remember the day by. Not to be out done, on the way to the church Ron picked something up for Stef, he just had to get even with her, there was no way she was getting away with that.

On a day that was tot be filled with cloud and rain, the sky opened up right after the ceremony which allowed for Kelsey Goodwin of KGOODPHOTO to grab some beautiful photos. You might also notice her yellow VW Bug in the background of one of our shots, thanks for that Kelsey it really added to the video. The day carried on into the reception were the party never stopped, DJ Pavel Cibula kept the party moving late into the night. The dance floor was filled with family and friends of all ages.

Finally, Ron and Stef and there families really made us feel at home all day. We can’t thank them enough for making our day so much fun. Of course it was an absolute pleasure to work with one of our favourite Videographers Blake Aleksich, we can’t thank him enough.

We met Mable at one of the past weddings we did, Bee and Evan, and were so happy we got to be a part of this wedding day as it was truly one of a kind. The Ceremony took place at the stunning Hycroft Manor, followed by the reception at the Vancouver Club in downtown Vancouver.

The entire day was filled with so much emotion. Friends and family were full of tears and laughter as they watched two unbelievably kind people get married. The Reception was a blast and we really learned a lot about both Jordan and Mable as we listened to some of the speeches that were given that night. Jordan even had a video surprise set up in which he recorded his actual proposal to Mable for everyone to see. Of course, it was really easy to feel like we were friends of the family as it was such a intimate wedding to be a part of.

Hello Everyone, we have returned from a beautiful resort, known as the Rockwater Secret Cove, located on the Sunshine Coast. It is one great place to get married after experiencing this wedding. Surrounded by water and amazing views, it truly is one peaceful place to have all your friends and family come to and be a part of the wedding.

We were contacted by the very talented Serendipity Events wedding planning company and met with the bride and groom, Brian and Lisa, to discuss their wedding plans. One of the first things we talked about was the amazing classic cars that they own which they brought to their wedding day. We instantly thought it would be a lot of fun to capture their journey to the resort the day before the wedding and show that in the Same Day Edit we would play for them the next night at the reception.

The weather was perfect, the emotions were high and the party was a lot of fun. DJ Wax had the dance floor going all night and even we ended up pulling out some of our dance moves….Although some might not call it dancing. We even got to spend the weekend working alongside Ellen Ho of Hong Photography and were reunited with Christine Williams (who we did our first ever wedding with) who was assisting Ellen for the day. Needless to say, we love our job and really enjoyed being a part of this wedding.
